I remember seeing parks & monuments unnecessarily closed during a govt shutdown by @BarackObama as his way of punishing the American people that dared flout his will. Good Republican congressmen came out and removed his fence blocking veterans access to the World War II Memorial.
Unlike shutdowns in previous years, national parks are expected to remain OPEN — though they will not be staffed by personnel, and the facilities (like restrooms and visitor centers) will be closed.

I’m very proud of our President, he is the only one who cares, is a true mystery, we elect people and they do what they want, not for what they were elected to do. Congress should be Elected every 4 years, If they don’t accomplish the promises, that’s they’re problem

Thank you Representive Gaetz. I remember the Obama Administration, when government shut down, they put barriers up around all outdoor monuments so that visiting veterans couldn't enter the grounds. Shameful abuse of power 2 block veterans from paying respects to the deceased.
