I commend @realDonaldTrump for his decision to declassify the documents today. My colleagues in Congress & I have requested these documents for months, but have faced lengthy & unnecessary delays, redactions, & refusals from officials at the @TheJusticeDept and the @FBI.

DoJ & FBI are using classification to cover embarrassing behavior; shouldn’t be classified anyway. Previously released “Top Secret” material didn’t reveal sources/methods and didn’t damage national security. Shouldn’t have have been even Confidential. I spent 35 years in the IC.
