Eastlake High School FFA have spent this past school year earning many distinctions. They showed animals across Texas and New Mexico and competed all over. Their work has brought great honor to the community, which is why I am proud to have been able to honor them. #txlege

Don't touch other people's stuff; no STAAR test; no violence; and 4-day weekends. These cubs will make incredible legislators! These were some of today's law ideas. I think they are ready to take my place in office! Thank you Surrat Elementary for having us on career day. #txlege

#HB211 is headed to the Senate! Currently, some families have a hard time finding ADA-compliant childcare. It recognizes the obligation childcare providers have to consider serving a child with disabilities while promoting inclusivity. #txlege

Stayed up late watching #SB17 committee hearing and so many testimonies 👏. TX is fortunate to have @RepMaryGonzalez asking the hard questions and challenging the “we’re still gonna do the work” mindset. Language matters and belonging matters. No part of this bill is reasonable.

I had the opportunity this week to pass #SB49, which was #HB250 in the House. This bill modernizes the eligibility requirements for the crime victims compensation fund. It’s time to update this system to better help victims and their families. Next stop: the Governor! #txlege
