This is largely due to minimum wages being raised in some states, like California, along with a tightening labor market. North Carolina’s minimum wage is still $7.25 an hour, the federal minimum. Why take credit for something Dems in other states are achieving?

Wages in North Carolina as a whole are only up 3.3%, less than the national average, and that growth is almost entirely whipped out by inflation which is 2.9%.
