My heart is heavy after hearing the news of another shooting, this time in Dayton, Ohio - 13 hours following the El Paso shooting that robbed 20 innocent people of their lives. Sending prayers to the victims, their families, law enforcement and the entire Dayton community.
We must also pray for the safety of our country. It is beyond time for our leaders to do what is necessary to enact laws that keep guns out of the hands of people wishing to do harm. This has to stop. #EnoughIsEnough #EndGunViolence

How do we know which people to keep guns away from? Are we going to become the 'thought police'? It's NOT about guns. It's about people doing harm, regardless of whether it's with a vehicle, a sword or knife, a boat, a plane or anything that can be used to injure or kill.
Even taking away assault rifles, the people who are evil and want to harm will find a way to get one. Gun free zones don't stop them either. Mental health checks and strict requirements only go so far. Real, concrete proposals are needed that address the many related issues!
With strict gun laws, taking away from good citizens to get to defend themselves. criminals and people that want to do bad will either steal guns or or buy illegal ways. Or from someone privately selling. Criminals will always find a way to get a gun.
With all do respect we have gun laws in place for just that reason. But if someone wants to do harm they are going to get a weapon. Whether they go and steal one or buy one from some back alley. A criminal that is prohibited from legally owning a gun will find a way to get one
illegally. More gun laws are not the option. If you want to help with the shooting problem. Make it easier for people tio get a CCP to protect themselves. Yes he only fired for one min before police arrived. But if someone with a CCP could have stopped it in less time.
