$12.35 per hour? Great job. $494 per week $2140. per month $25,690 per year I could do a lot with that. LMAO

And don’t forget the 35 hours. Just under the minimum hourly week total to offer health care. Aldi’s is really helping it’s local citizens.

-
I used 40 hours for the math because of sign.
-
Ok gentlemen. Now tell me how much housing, food, transportation and clothing costs for a family of 4?
-
Food alone is around $700 to $1000 per month.

That’s a lie. Dow down over 1000. Deficit in the trillions and McConnell wants to take away Social Security and Medicare to pay for their tax cuts for the rich. Despicable

You are confused. The policies had little to do with unemployment which has been on downward trajectory for 10 years.

Where can you live from 12.35/hr?
-
How much do you expect to get paid to start in a grocery store? $60k/yr with full benefits?
-
Yeah. Why were our parents able 2make an honest living&raise our families w/ “grocery store” jobs? Minimum wage hasn’t
in decades but Lou gets his political COLA every year. He makes sure to vote 4 that. Now people like you don’t want anyone to work for a decent wage? Sick! -
If you want to make more then learn a trade or go to college and apply yourself. When we start paying unskilled labor big money then everyone's wages need to go up, then the cost of goods and services goes up, and in the end no one is better off.
-
Yes everyone's wages should go up. CEOs don't have to pass costs onto customers. Companies can be successful without obscene profits. Money just sitting in the bank, not being reinvested, is bad for average Americans. Raising wages is a good way to reinvest in a company.
-
Raising wages is a short term fix and we'll be right back where we started in no time. It's not the solution.
-
Back to your original statement, if a wages increase then people would be able to afford training or school. If more people are improving their skill set, our whole country benefits. Our country suffers when large chunks of the population survive paycheck to paycheck.
-
Raising wages won't solve the problem. Inflation and the cost of living are the issues. 40yrs ago $30k/yr went a long way. Cost of living, and inflation are higher. If you can't reduce or hold them steady higher wages won't do a thing to help.
