The 7 year Syrian civil war is one of the great humanitarian crises of our time. One night of air strikes is not a substitute for a needed comprehensive strategy that includes robust political&diplomatic engagement. My full statement here: https://bit.ly/2qvASoY pic.twitter.com/2Ok6oiuU2Q

Need to remind you March 2011? (Libya). Presidents have acted this way several times in the past. Article 1 gives power to declare not make.

7 years of doing much of anything effective in stopping Assad from killing civilians. Politicians address problems with no solutions.

Sudan . A civil war so long that ultimatley it required both sides to be forceably separated because after three centuries of continued civil war ,they had achieved negative population growth. Yes syria needs attention but lets uh keep our perspective.

we react to poison but not to children and families who tried to escape drowning, or to the camps many remain in to this day. I don't get it. Crap, the amount we pay for one bomb, imagine what it might do for those people.
