After Feather River Hospital in Paradise was destroyed by the #CampFire, Enloe Medical Center in Chico absorbed a significant number of their patients. The status will grant Enloe more reimbursement funding to remain competitive. They were initially denied, but my office is involved as they appeal Medicare to adjust the criteria for this status, at least until Feather River Hospital can once again serve its displaced population.
Put pressure on Enloe to okay contracts with Blue Shield. They take a bigger obligation, but are trying to refuse coverages they have accepted in the past. Pressure both sides, please.
