If CA already can’t take care of its own people, why would the state even consider prioritizing those here illegally? This will also place a higher burden on our already overwhelmed border agents, who will face an even greater surge in attempted illegal border crossings.

This is an unjustifiable and irresponsible decision by the state that will make California a magnet for illegal immigration and impose higher costs on taxpayers from all across the country.

Thanks Doug for being a sane voice for us who are bewildered by this. This state which I was born in and have paid taxes in all my adult life is a shadow of what it once was. Hopefully this’ll finally break us for good so we can begin to heal.

Actually, Doug, this is in line w/ how other countries treat people residing in their countries: with humanity and empathy. Also, since the migrants do visit healthcare facilities currently, this ultimately becomes a cost-saving measure in prevention & less cost passed on.

Hey genius. Hospitals are required to treat anyone in need that shows up. This initiative will save California money since people will get preventive treatment before needing expensive emergency care. No wonder you’re a Republican. You can’t do math.
