Translation: parents should be able to use taxpayer money to send their kids to schools where they teach Creationism as science.

No it robs public schools of much needed budget, parents always have a choice to pay for their child's education if public schools aren't their choice. Support public education, fund public education for better choices for all.

Wouldn’t it be better to fund our Public Schools with public money to make sure that ALL children had a quality education? If you want Union busting Charter Schools and Religious Education schools you should pay for it yourself. Education is the equalizer against your corruption

I work w High Schoolers who’ve come from charter schools- typically they’re academically behind and socially inept. We are doing our kids no favors and jepordizing our creativity pool by giving ‘schoold choice’.

What you're trying to say, Doug, is that you want public money flowing to your corporate buddies for religious indoctrination, while making disparities in educational opportunities even worse.

For-profit charter schools take money from public education and funnel it to the corporate backers. Reigous education is NOT a right. Nothing would prevent for-profit schools from raising their tuition to make it inaccessible to voucher holders without the ability to pay more!

America's public schools fueled the post WW2 economic boom. We sent astronauts to the moon and back without "school choice." What's really needed is adequate public school funding. How about you making sure the federal government pays it's share of school programs it mandates?

The federal government established special education for students with disabilities. That's a good thing. However, it promised to pay 40% of the cost, but has never paid more than 19%. States and local schools pick up the rest of the costs. School choice isn't what's needed.

When you say "competition," you mean strangle government programs and dilute constraints and lower quality of the "competition." The US Postal Service and public schools both suffer from the "competition" you want. You don't want better schools. You want to destroy government.
