Not that you are listening but this shutdown is hurting 800,000 federal workers with a trickle down effect to businesses and their employees and the safety of our country. The government needs to reopen before negotiations on border security and immigration take place.

Sir, you did not mention unpaid federal employees at all in this. Federal services and salaries for employees should not be bargaining chips. Please stand up for your constituents.
