Today, House Democrats killed a disaster funding measure that would've provided $12.1 billion to states hit by wildfires and hurricanes, including those impacted by the #CarrFire and #CampFire in Northern California. My full statement ---> https://bit.ly/2FEIoGA pic.twitter.com/gvUCHL8woC

Republicans had control of the House and the Senate for two years. What did you accomplish toward “border security”? Stand up to Trump. Help end the government shutdown.

@RepLaMalfa is not helping in any way regarding the water crisis in Magalia for residents and private citizens are having to foot the bill of multiple thousands of dollars a week for bottled water because #DougLaMalfa, as usual, does not do much to help #CampFire survivors.

Perhaps you should ask the Senate, on behalf of your constituents like me, why they won’t accept the same funding resolution they passed unanimously before Trump threw a temper tantrum. Disaster funding is important, but so is an open government which can distribute those funds.

You had 2 years and could have easily passed a bill through reconciliation. Truth is Dems gave Trump exactly what he asked for in Dec, but Trump watched Fox and changed his mind about signing in the last hour. This is all on the GOP and nothing changes that. #paytheCoastGuard !!

If we have $5 billion for a wall we can spend it on disaster relief for Americans instead

Why wouldn't Trump seize the money for his wall by calling it a national disaster? He already said he was considering it. Pelosi simply kept money away from a potential attempt by Trump to bypass our constitution.

Doug, u & ur GOP ilk had control of gov for 2 years. Why didn't u vote for Trump's vanity wall at that time? Blaming democrats now for your failure only shows what kind of partisan Trump toady that u r. The ppl of CA-1 can do better.
