I drove through Chico yesterday - donated and toured East Ave Shelter. Great community and great triage approach - well coordinated. Concern is many people still living in cars / basic camp tents outside walMart and Goodwill. Where are the Army tents and / or trailers?

There aren't any FEMA trailers and there may not be any.
@nsprnews had a story yesterday where FEMA officials said they consider trailers a "last resort" and are trying to get everyone housed in (non-existent) hotel rooms and rentals. I'm not sure they care if people go homeless.

Sir, are you aware of what's happening w/NVADG, new animal rescue org somehow authorized to rescue pets/livestock in
#CampFire? Charged volunteers $250, not allow in MANY fire-exper'd rescuers who didn't pay to be "certified" by them -#DisasterAssistTeam volunteer, 6th fire (1/2) -
(Cont'd) They lack experience to manage disaster of this scope, demonstrated by their *refusal* of help from other EXPERIENCED REPUTABLE ANIMAL DISASTER GROUPS, unlike ANY other fire rescue situation in CA within the last many years. (I'm not personally affected, just appalled.)
