We’ve passed dozens of bills into law that are designed to combat this epidemic. I've also introduced legislation to make USDA resources more accessible to rural communities for this very reason, while ensuring coordination among different agencies to avoid duplicative efforts.

I’m encouraged by this latest tool announced today by USDA that will help more of our communities access the information they need about different resources and funding opportunities available to combat this opioid epidemic on the local level.

My wife died of cancer every doctor we talk to ask if she wanted pain medication. The opium epidemic is a product of people who are or say they are in pain.Pain caused by to much weight age injury. Every addict is a pusher pills are stolen and replaced again and again.

The current epidemic can be traced to the lying Sackler family, who are yet to be held accountable.

How about holding the Sackler family accountable? How about getting jobs to the north state-drug abuse and poverty are corellated. How about NOT voting for poor health care plans that don’t pay for mental health. There’s a lot you can do, Doug.

I am happy to see that this issue is being taken seriously. I’ve watched what opiates have done to my community and it’s been frustrating that it took so long for people to realize it. Thank you
