Our economy is strongest when the middle class can keep more of their money in their pockets. Today, we're one step closer to bringing them the #TaxReform and relief they need.pic.twitter.com/sWd5UDU4LO

If you had read (and understood) the bill, you would have realized that it acts against the interest of middle-class constituents in IL-18. I'm confident that the voters will remember that next year.

You did not represent your district and voted to harm us. You voted for a tax increase. It's clear you did not listen to your constituents.

Money in some of our pockets in the short-term (unless we're teachers, grad students, have student loans, medical deductions, etc.), money with the wealthy in the long term. We see through the #TaxScam.pic.twitter.com/wRk8jBHisy

How can you vote for any tax bill without understanding how the President and his family will personally profit from these changes? He's out for himself and you just helped him line his pockets.

But this bill does not allow the middle class to keep more of our money in our pockets! You are out of touch with the constituents of #IL18. This is not what we wanted from you. You betrayed us by voting for this travesty of a bill.

I can’t wait until gerrymandering is outlawed. We need to get rid of Congress people that believe raising taxes on the middle class to pay for corporate tax cuts are actually tax cuts for the middle class.

This bill was polling at 25% in favor. As a representative of the people you voted for something 3/4’s of us do not like or want! You should be ashamed.

You have proved again that you're an enemy of the middle class and needed voted out of office. I've always voted Republican in the 18th congressional district, never again.

You make so many false statements on twitter and then don’t support those statements when questioned by #IL18 residents. If you truly back what you say then prove it. #NotYourDad
