On Thursday, the House passed a bipartisan funding bill to keep our government running and continue to pay our troops, care for our vets, and provide Social Security benefits to our seniors.

They don’t actually disagree with anything in the funding bill, but are holding it hostage and demanding that Congress pass totally unrelated immigration legislation.

Today, I’m continuing to meet with members of both parties to try and come up with a solution and I’m hopeful we can make sure our essential government services across our country are up and running while we continue policy debates in Washington.

You know the GOP didn't even have their full vote for the bill. They could have passed a CHIP bill months ago, but decided to wait and weaponize childrens healthcare to fund a wall.
