Tomorrow is the day we find out if Sunayana Dumala and hundreds of thousands of immigrants who came here legally will get out of their 70-year green card backlog. Immigrants enrich the diversity and culture of America.

Let’s pass the Border Security and Immigration Reform Act, which includes my HR 392 language in addition to fixing DACA and making much-needed investments to secure our borders. The American people want action, it’s time for Congress to step up to the plate and deliver.

"COUNTRY OF BIRTH is Not A SKILL". Legal immigrants have worked hard and spent prime years of their life in US contributing to US ECONOMY. Legal immigrants are highly skilled with masters and/Or over 10 years of experience in IT. Please Pass #HR392 #HR6136

Say YES to #HR6136 which includes #HR392. "Country of birth" is not a skill and so country cap should be removed and bring fairness in the legal immigration system. Once done it will boom the economy as more startup companies will open creating more jobs.

Say YES to #HR6136. Bring equal opportunities to everyone irrespective of "country of birth." We are stuck due to country cap. People are waiting for decade while contributing so much to economy. Clear #gcbacklog .

@MarkSKrikorian @NeilMunroDC @JessicaV_CIS This is what a corrupt GOP Rep bought by foreign labor lobbyists looks like. He's more concerned for foreigners who faked their way to obtain employment based green card sponsorships. This is corruption at its finest.

Well, not so fast. Is It really legal to bribe US Congressmen to favor your foreign H-1b visa scheme interests who then in shame hold unrecorded voice votes in middle of night expanding H-1b to hide their treachery betraying American workers of all ethnicities? 70% of H-1b legal?pic.twitter.com/YR6CDqcSRb

You haters hand pick few examples (may be <5% of total H1B's) and use it to generalize against entire community while ignoring their contributions. Are all Americans perfect? No American ever did any fraud?

The point is how is it fair to use up other countries' green quota when you already use up more than 50% h1b visas all by one country. HR 392 is not for fairness. It's for greed.

Right way would have been to put a quota on H1B.. hell I should say put a quota on student visas too..when immigrant is treated equally in terms of opportunities, taxes, visas then why not green cards!??? You are failing to see the other side of coin who already waited many years

Because in years, desi companies (most are Indian companies) abused too many h1b visas which results in huge eb23 backlogs. Immigrants from other countries which don't have serious h1b fraud concerns and 10 yrs backlogs don't want suffer from that situation.

The onus of fraud check is not on individual who apply for visa and permanent residency. What could I do, and why should I suffer if an unknown company\individual is involved in fraud. The best I could do is report If I come across one, and I did.

It is bad for you to suffer from it. But how is it fair for people from other countries to suffer from it? At least you guys already get more than half h1bs.

Fair system is first cum first serve. If you don't see how it is fair, you deserve to be replaced by cheap labour. We all should collectively try to remove fraud no matter which national committed it. Why highlight Indian? Are you saying no other nationals ever did anything wrong
