I am dissapointed. Oklahomans need that minimum wage increase just as much as New Yorkers. You are choosing corporations the working middle class and poor?

I really disagree with, Kendra. We need action now, and this gradual increase to $15 over the next 6 years is a step in the right direction. Many cities already have a minimum wage greater than $15/hr, including SF and Seattle. These communities have been proactive...

And will likely continue to be protective to increase their minimum wages closer to $18+ by 2025. Meanwhile, our community sits idle with an abysmal minimum wage (especially for tipped workers). We elected you to take action, not play partisan politics.

I don’t disagree about variable CoL having a large impact on a $15/hr Oklahoma business, but Republicans will never, ever vote to raise it. At all. It’s this bill or it’s nothing.
-
I could defend voting against this bill in a different political environment. Like if we had two parties who both wanted the country to get better.

we need immediate action, not pushing things down the road so that's why I'm here to tell you why I'm for pushing things down the road

The only excuse for not voting "Yes," on this bill that I will accept are as follows: 1) The minimum wage needs to be tied to productivity and/or inflation and this bill does not do that 2) Minimum wage should really be $25 by 2025, this does not go far enough
-
Yes! Raising the minimum wage to $15 by 2025 is already horribly slow. Workers need that much to survive now! I’m just so tired of being disappointed yet again when Democrats put the 1% before working people.

Have to disagree with you on this one Kendra. Similar arguments against raising the min. wage was made when the wage was raised to $1.25hr in 1960's and in subsequent years. We really to get away from a dominant two-party system.
