While you're addressing student loans, can you do anything about the compounding interest? My husband and I pay more than the monthly minimum and what we owe is rising steadily due to interest. It will eventually balloon to the point that we can't repay. Help.

Love to see this. Servicers are an absolute disgrace. They are predatory,n hide behind the shield of the DoE and absolutely do NOT service borrowers with any really substantive assistance.
