Audre Lorde is the mother of intersectionality. She was concerned with the common plight of all othered people before intersectionality was even a word. She near single handed flipped the inclusiveness paradigm light switch in the women's movement with Sister Outsider.
Audre Lorde was a poet and author who described herself as a “black, lesbian, mother, warrior, poet." She used her writing to combat racism, homophobia and bigotry of all forms.
