  IMO the deduction should be totally eliminated, but I do support the cap as an alternative. Why should the folks of SC be penalized because NY has such high taxes??

  Maybe if NY stopped wasting taxpayers' money on sanctuary cities and other liberal waste, the Federal government would be more likely to restore SALT. Why should the Feds subsidize policies that work against Federal law and policy?

  Don’t blame trump. Blue states tax it’s residents to death and were able to get away with it -since it was tax deductible... those days are over! Lower S&L taxes.. that is the solution
