Is there any data to support the idea that all of those individuals would not have simply found another method of committing suicide if they did not have access to a firearm?

90% of suicide attempts by gun are successful. Only 10% of suicide attempts by other means are successful. Research shows that suicide attempts are frequently impulsive acts, and survivors don’t typically try again.

Earlier today you called for a ban on "high-capacity magazines" (whatever that means). How would that ban prevent a suicide by gun?

Red flag laws and safe storage laws both of which have been co-sponsored by Rep Rice would certainly prevent some suicides by gun. A ban on high-capacity magazines would prevent deaths in mass shootings.

Tell the truth so we can address the problem and move on. The AJ at the MSPB needs to be fired. And certainly, some members of the Committee and Justices of the US Court of Appeals need to be censured and permanently removed.
