The House passed HR 8 & HR 1112. Two bipartisan bills that would expand & enhance background checks. If the President is serious about ending these tragedies, he can prove it by scrapping the NRA talking points and telling McConnell to allow a vote on these bills in the Senate.

HR8 had 8 Republican yays and 2 Democrat Nays. So it was bipartisan against also. HR8 also has no enforcement mechanism for private gun transfer, so it’s not worth the paper it’s written on.
