As a former prosecutor, I've seen the terrible & deadly toll that domestic violence can take. That's why I voted to reauthorize #VAWA, the Violence Against Women Act, which provides critical services to victims of domestic violence as well as education and prevention programs.
#VAWA also closes the boyfriend loophole”, stopping abusers & stalkers from obtaining firearms.
This bill saves lives.
But now we must keep up the pressure and make sure that it passes the Senate!
