There is no emergency at the southern border other than the one the President created with his inhumane immigration policies. And most drugs coming across the border enter through legal points of entry. 1/2

Declaring a national emergency for a border wall is nothing more than a reckless abuse of power that would divert critical resources from where they are needed most, including communities recovering from natural disasters. 2/2

Congresswoman - Congress gave the President the power to do this in 1976 under the National Emergencies Act. I get you disagree, but this isn't the way. Please set the hyperbole aside. Remember you represent all of us in #NY4 , not just those who agree with you ideologically.

Hypocrisy plain and simple. Both 45 and the VP spoke out against President Obama considering it and for more important matters. The border wall is not a burden for the American Taxpayers. I look forward to the multiple lawsuits to prevent this gross negligence and overreach.

Tell Angel Mom it’s not a Nat Emergency. Elected Representatives are to protect the citizens and laws of this land. Throw us to the side to protect people who have no right to be here. Take money away from from citizens to give to law breakers illegals. Thousands in of Caravan

Rep Rice he’s not touching the money set for natural disasters. He’s using money set for Drug interdiction and military building. This is something congress could have a vapid had you all grown up and passed real border security measures.

The real national emergency is the excess spending. We keep on getting more and more revenue to the federal government, even with the tax cuts, but you guys cannot control your spending habits. Ugh. 22 Trillion and counting. Shame
