Disappointed that Amazon has abandoned its New York City Headquarters. This project offered unprecedented economic opportunities for our region and our residents, including thousands of high-paying jobs. 1/2

New York State, New York City, and Amazon should have been able to come to an agreement that balanced those opportunities with the concerns of the local community. This is a missed opportunity for everyone. 2/2

No one had any problem with Amazon opening in NY. People had a problem with politicians subsidizing one of the biggest companies and the richest man in the world at the expense of taxpayer dollars (and a helipad)

Yes, the helipad is so offensive because the MTA and transportation infrastructure is so stellar in Queens/Manhattan🙄

This is really disappointing that so many NY Dems were against this deal. AMZN were given tax incentives not a $3billion pile of cash. They would have only gotten the incentives if they actually created jobs. It was a fair deal.

Exactly, there was a great deal of misinformation put out by the #noamazon #scamazon crowd making it sound like #NY was handing @amazon a 3 billion dollar check upfront #BringTheJobs #TechCreatesValue

I think it is a great opportunity for Texas, I hope Amazon consideres Texas instead....

Yes it is. Awful. Glad to see u acknowledge it for what it is unlike some others in the party who seem happy by the news. Don’t let them hijack the party or it will be the demise of the Dems.

A HUGE miss! There were other benefits which would have lead to positive growth, increased wages, more career opportunities, opportunities for internships, partnerships, and much more. And this is not just Amazon but a kickstart for other companies to implement.
