150 years ago, the 14th Amendment was ratified, establishing equal protection under the law. It has since been used as the basis for landmark decisions on desegregation, abortion rights & marriage equality. This is why we need a SCOTUS nominee who will respect legal precedent.

I'm a conservative Democrat. I am not as scared that a conservative Justice nominated today is going to necessarily sway the Court. Regarding legal precedent, I have faith in Justice Roberts.

Also, I try to live in reality. And we have a Republican President, Senate, and Congress. I feel that all of them could be looking to overturn Roe vs. Wade. However, we don't truly know.

And I feel that we have to respect that person who will be nominated. I personally like the character of Judge Barrett. Kavanaugh - baggage/dirty business re Clinton, Michigan judge, a question mark so so silent, Trump's sister's peer - no.

What does this mean? Do you think every decision by the court has been correct? If so, how do you reconcile aceeptance of and then overturning “separate but equal”? There re others , also.
