The number of women veterans in our country continues to rise, but still the VA’s official motto excludes women. That’s not right & I tried to fix it, but my amendment was never brought to the floor for debate, let alone a vote.
The brave women who serve our country and the families of those who gave their lives defending it deserve to be a part of an organization that recognizes their service and sacrifice. It baffles that any Member of Congress would disagree.
We need you in the majority to begin fixing these injustices. Hang in there.
Why, because your peers don't see it as relevant or maybe because too many men who don't want to change ... seems to run with equal pay, total equality for women.
Keep trying, think about it - there's always another way to achieve a goal - there are many ways, in fact. You're smart, you can figure it out - and score 1 for women. Your few moments of self-pity are over. You can do this, have every faith.
