Today's #MasterpieceCakeshop ruling is disappointing, but it is NOT the sweeping "license to discriminate" that anti-LGBTQ extremists were looking for. SCOTUS affirmed LGBTQ civil rights & acknowledged LGBTQ people have a right to live free from the indignity of discrimination.

Would the couple suing the baker in civil court be helpful in establishing precedent. Also, could they - now - press for charges that this was a hate crime. I know the latter is a stretch but I'm just wondering what they and others can do in the future to find a remedy.
