We must start with our foundation. We need preschool (ages 2 and up) and medicare for all. We must build a society where everyone feels included, wanted and valued. We have to be in this together to create productive, positive, hard working and collaborative citizens.
Every time there is a mass shooting in this country, we ask why. Too many times, the answer is because a lack the courage to act. Tomorrow marks 365 days that gun reform legislation we passed has been sitting on Mitch McConnell's desk. Milwaukee is in our hearts tonight.
