If someone was breaking into your home. Would you call a doctor?

-
Yeah, if they were exhausted and dying at my doorstep I definitely would.
-
That is telling, this is almost the gop position on hhealthcare too. Don't thrives the drowning man a rope unless he proves he can pay
-
My tax money supplements health care for the poor. Do we have the money to pay for individuals who enter our country illegally.
-
Yes, we have many billionaires who don’t need most of those billions. Imagine being able to improve society, education, health, safety, infrastructure, and recreation in every way nationwide for all people, at the cost of Jeff Bezos and Oprah having to live in only one house
-
We have already spent trillions. Maybe we need to adjust our approach to helping the poor.
-
Maybe we don't fund wars and voila, massive debt problem solved.
-

I remember when America would act if they saw this very thing happen in another country. They never used to stand by and watch a dictator be this heartless without saying “Not on my watch”. Now, the world is looking at America with revulsion over this treatment of the vulnerable.
-
What you think only happened in your imagination. Actual America has only ever propped up dictators.https://twitter.com/KiranOpal/status/809262889215197184?s=19 …
-
Actual America has done both. It's not an either/or condition.

Yes it is. Look up the linkshttps://twitter.com/KiranOpal/status/821365819468906496?s=19 …

I'm not denying it happened. I'm saying that while that has happened, we've also provided 10s of billions of funds annually through USAID, DHHS, DAg for things like HIV, disaster relief, education. Acknowledging this does not white-wash U.S. imperialism.https://explorer.usaid.gov/aid-dashboard.html …
