@RepBarragan and I heard from Maria at a forum in Southern California. Maria had her children taken away by immigration officials and for one month, she was not told where they were. She cried more than she ever had for a month.

She finally was told they were in NY. She could only speak with them twice a week. When they were finally reunited, her daughter had lice and burns on her hands.
