    I'm an American. I don't fear refugees and immigrants. I don't fear access to the voting booth. I don't fear hearing from women. I don't fear gender identity, religion, or ethnicity. But I do question those in power who tell us to fear those who aren't.

    Even Nina Olson, the National Taxpayer Advocate, told us today that she is uncertain if she withheld the right amount on her taxes. She told us Congress needs to protect taxpayers. That's exactly what my bill - H.R. 1300 - will do. We need to act immediately to protect taxpayers

    In 2015, 9 innocent people were gunned down at the Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, SC. The gun used was sold even though the background check wasn't completed. It's past time for thoughts and prayers. We need action. is an important first step.
