I'm in Ridgewood this morning to talk about fighting the IRS gridlock, so we can actually cut taxes in New Jersey. https://www.facebook.com/385195211818552/videos/257429391794884/ …

It’s time for tax cuts for Jersey. But even though these funds already exist in 33 states, and have for years, the political bureaucrats at the IRS and Treasury are proposing a new regulation that would eliminate this tax cut for families.

Yes, the IRS wants to raise taxes even more on N.J. families. Other states are also worried about their programs and I wrote to the IRS to demand they cut the red tape, so New Jersey residents can get lower taxes.

There was an adjustment to the alternative min tax. Before, people of high SALT states could not even use the full SALT deduction because of AMT. the new tax system caps SALT but makes it less likely we get hit with AMT. we need to get rid of AMT...this will help NJ more.

cap on SALT deductions was needed. Now when corrupt NJ politicians raise taxes there will be more push back since people will get hit w 100% of the increase. there will be no federal deduction on the marginal increase. The cap on SALT will actually PREVENT NJ taxes from going up.
