      Truly disgraceful. A majority of @housebudgetGOP members just voted to defeat my amendment to help Gold Star families & surviving spouses.       Nine GOP members who voted no are cosponsors of legislation that would do the exact same thing as my amendment. They put tax breaks for millionaires ahead of ensuring that surviving military spouses receive the benefits they were promised.

          I’m very upset that those who cosponsored HR846 voted NO today. These widows deserve the annuity we pay into every month before we die. (I’m dying from service connected cancer) I can’t believe it’s still legal for the government to not pay on a purchased annuity.
