The Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) has provided much-needed relief to Tennessee – both businesses and employees. As our state begins to re-open, I believe our small businesses need more flexibility in terms of their PPP loans.
Last week, the House passed a bill providing more flexibility to small businesses that have received loans through the PPP. I supported this legislation b/c it addresses the varying needs of our Main Street job creators and ensures they can focus on getting back on their feet.
I am pleased to report that the Senate also passed this legislation – one step closer to Tennessee businesses getting the relief and flexibility they need.
Careful, that sounds dangerously like you’re supporting what the GOP’s calls socialism. Next thing you know, you’ll be supporting a tax increase on the top earners and businesses to actually pay for things.
