This was a heartbreaking moment for our country. When Steve Scalise walked, unattended, into the SOTU that following year, the euphoric crowds went crazy with happiness.

But Scalise has *always* turned his back. He was saved by a lesbian POC Capitol Police officer. He *still* doesn't see her as an equal member of our society, voting against her rights at every turn. He's not grateful for her. Please don't stand up for a bigot.
