    John Joyce Retweeted Kevin McCarthy

Just went to the Senate floor to show my support for legislation to protect newborn babies. It is unconscionable that Senate Democrats blocked the measure from passing and that Democrats in the House refuse to even take it up. Every life is precious and deserves to be protected.https://twitter.com/GOPLeader/status/1100157937992065024 …

This should be a no-brainer, yet Democrats keep blocking it in the House. I—and several other House Republicans—will be headed over to the Senate soon to show our support as they vote to stop infanticide in America. https://twitter.com/SenateGOP/status/1100072516402450432 …

Hope you will extend your concern to all babies, children and adults for good health via a national, single payer health plan. We're not forgetting that Republicans have stood against that and tried to sabotage the ACA.

He’s already stated his opposition to single pay. Says it will cost too much. Against the ACA as well. I am absolutely disgraced that he is my Rep..

"Congress reaffirmed that fact with its passage of the bipartisan Born-Alive Infants Protection Act in 2002. I support that law, which is still in effect. There is no need for additional federal legislation on this topic," Kaine said.

Don't the GOP control the Senate seats? So if this is true the Republicans didn't give enough votes not the Democrats.

How is it that Dems blocked it? I was under the impression that the Senate was Republican majority... What rule was the vote held under?
