Paul Ryan has been a dedicated public servant to his district and nation for 20 years. I regret his decision to retire but fully understand his desire to not miss the teenage years of his three children. I wish him and his family well and thank him for his service to the nation.

Speaker Ryan is a shameful & spineless coward. Your support for him proves how utterly terrible you are and how much we, your constituents, need to vote you out.

Display your courage and run for office. I despise the way people throw “coward” around if they’re too afraid to stand up and subject themselves to the same public scrutiny. THAT’S cowardice.

#ny19 has several strong candidates running. There are lots of ways to support them and the country without running for office. Doesn't mean someone can't point out that Ryan and the GOP are cowards, on the side of the rich against working Americans.

UGH save it. Paul Ryan prided himself on cutting necessary social programs which only exacerbated the suffering of the most vulnerable Americans. His number one priority is maintaining the power of the strongest and bolstering the profits of the richest, while shaming the poor.

Ryan is a fake policy wonk and bad for Americans who aren’t millionaires. Your statement is one more reason why your constituents will also help you retire in November.

If u believe the thing abt the kids, I've got a bridge for sale in Brooklyn. Dishonesty from yr party is the norm, tho. He's the worst Speaker in history. He's abdicated checks and balances in return for making his donors happy. He'd have been voted out. That's why he's retiring.

Paul Ryan’s monument will be the the putrid and smoldering ruins of the Republican Party and conservative movement that he betrayed with his complicity and cowardice. He lacked the guts to stand for decency and the wisdom to confront the threat of Trumpism.

No doubt you do regret the retirement of another reprehensible, far-right, tRUmp-covering toady like yourself, Mr. Faso. Also, he seems to be smarter than you. Soon your party will be in the minority & you’ll be out of work.
