Defense cuts have been detrimental to our military readiness and to our national security. As a result, we delivered the biggest increase in defense funding of the past 15 years & the largest troop pay raise in the past 8 years.https://faso.house.gov/news/documentsingle.aspx?DocumentID=932 …

Of your many broken promises, @RepJohnFaso, let us not forget your solemn warnings against excessive debt. #NY19 is poorer now with $1.5trillion+ squandered on GOP tax giveaways to your donors & wasteful GOP budget priorities.pic.twitter.com/LGwDoU6RCi

We spend more money on our military than everyone else in the world by a huge margin. Unbelievable waste of resources that could be spent on healthcare and/or infrastructure. More war mongering is not a solution. #ny19

When have we ever cut the military?

The last few years we had a reduction under Obama, but that was in response to the massive buildup after 9/11. Unfortunately, Trump/Faso want to return the country to an obscene level of military spending that’s unsustainable. It’s incredibly reckless.

What value is more defense spending if we have a @POTUS who won’t defend the country by confronting a hostile foreign regime that attacked us? And what good are you as a representative if you’re too cowardly to call him out for his treason?

Having someone in the White House who won't stand up to Russia is detrimental to our national security. What are you doing about that? Why do you vote to hide trump's promised taxes from us, and say nothing when Ivanka steps in to meet with Min. from South Korea? #russia #ny19

Military spending is far too high. We should be spending that money on other things, like figuring out affordable health care or ensuring that people who have been living here since they were children continue to live here, their home. This isn’t something to brag about.

Military spending at the expense of other vital programs has been the priority of the GOP for too long. Education, healthcare and infrastructure are all crumbling in this country, but at least we can throw money at war machines.

Defense spending was at its highest under President Obama from 2010 to 2012. Far higher than todays increase. This tweet about detrimental cuts, it just doesn't line up with the facts.
