I participated in a forum on Friday in Hudson to discuss school safety & mental health issues. The forum gave stakeholders the opportunity to offer ideas on how we can improve school safety and do a better job addressing mental health challenges.http://wnyt.com/news/hudson-high-school-hosts-a-panel-discussion-on-gun-laws-and-safety-/4933042/ …

I know it sounds crazy but maybe we should make it harder to get weapons of mass killing

I know this sounds crazy. But it’s already incredibly hard, if not impossible, to get the weapons you speak of. So focusing on mental health and school security seems very sensible.

I know this sounds crazy, but it's easy to get powerful weapons in the US. I can think of a few things that are easier to buy, though, like a Congressperson, right @RepJohnFaso ?

“Participated in a forum” Wow! You’re really a man of action! We don’t need yet another discussion while kids are dying. Ban assault weapons. Ban large capacity magazines. Raise the minimum age to 25. We know what needs to be done. #EarnYourPay

You’re such a fraud that you can’t even use the word “gun” in your statement about panel with the title “gun laws and safety”. We deserve better.

We can improve school safety by making assault weapons illegal and voting out NRA stooges such as yourself, Mr. Faso. Also, where is your comment on the morally challenged 🍊🤡👑’s belief that he is above the law, evidenced by his self-pardon tweet? #FireFaso #NY19pic.twitter.com/zOkfSxIuWW

Just get the f-ing military weapons off the street for starters. And STOP placing the onus of safety on school administrators, students and teachers. I think that’s a reasonable request. Why can’t kids and teachers feel safe in school?

All countries have people with mental health issues. Our country has extremely lax gun laws that prioritize access to firearms over the protection of our most vulnerable citizens. Your failure and unwillingness to recognize this basic fact demonstrates you are unfit for office.

Hey Faso, what about age limits, background checks and assault rifle bans? That would be the way to go. You would lose all that easy $ from the NRA but it would be more effective. #dumpfaso

You know what would be most effective for improved school safety? Stricter gun control laws. How does that go with the concealed carry recipriocity law that you supported? Guns are the problem, less guns is the clear solution.
