I had the pleasure of meeting with some of Utah’s Dreamers and reaffirmed my commitment to a bipartisan solution to DACA. Both sides of the aisle hold blame for the limbo we have put them in.

Okay, I’ll bite…
What does bipartisan mean when your party screams “illegals!” at everything, fear-mongers about “rapists and murderers and drug dealers”, and refuses to vote for a pathway to citizenship? #UtPol #DACA #UtahDeservesBetter

2017s SUCCEED Act was the last time the GOP proposed any sort of legislation for the Dreamers. It was read 2x and referred to Judiciary where the GOP let it die. Their own bill died in their own committee. GOP actions speak far louder than their words. Sorry.

Assuming he wins the primary, now is the time to start looking for a true moderate replacement for Curtis in 2024. Utahns should have a choice better than Herrod or a pretend bipartisan who is merely Herrod-lite.

The dream of undocumented and documented Dreamers who go to school, work hard, and pledge allegiance to the flag has become an American nightmare. This is not equal opportunity... It is morally unacceptable.
