I don't have to see it, Joe. I am feeling it. I've lost 2 jobs in tRump-time. Both companies pocketing tax profits over helping working people. I have been searching far & wide for work. ALL jobs are part-time & many of us work 2 or 3 jobs which is why the jobs #'s look good.

But let me tell you, from a human standpoint, the numbers mean NOTHING! If you are out in this job market, you know what I'm saying. It IS a jungle looking for FT job. PT, no benies, minimum wage is why we work multiple jobs. A roof, food, fair salary, healthcare is all we ask.

My husband and I are living it as well. I'm disabled and rely on my disability check. My 62yr old husband was laid off from his job of 17 yrs in 2016. The only job he's been able to find is part-time retail work for $8.50 an hour. Our income has dropped by $50,000 a year.

Our "leaders" are so pitifully out of touch with the reality of many/most average families. They're having a tough time on $200k+ yr? Right.

Most of us have to work long hours or work two jobs to make ends meet. I wish we had the $200 a year job they have and the health insurance. They have nothing to complain about.

Read the other day , the top corp's have been firing older i.e. More expensive labor for the slightest infractions. ( cost cutting ). Personally know someone who was let go for a slight infraction.

That's been going on for years. My husband was only 55 when given his unwanted "early retirement ", same year our youngest daughter started college. And nobody wants to hire a 55 year old man. He's been working 2 part-time low wage jobs for the last 10 years to make ends meet

And I guess the 2 part-time jobs improve the unemployment numbers although the income from those 2 jobs is less than 20% of what he was making in the full time corporate job. God I love how they lie with numbers.

Hmmm...it appears that 8 of your husband’s 10 years of underemployment are the fault of the scurrilous Obama administration. Thank God the murderous, crooked Hilary wasn’t elected!

Nope. It was purely corporate greed... nobody else to blame. They continue to pull the same shenanigans today under Trump.

Isn't it amazing what happens to corporate profits when you pump $1 trillion into them in the form of a permanent 40% tax cut and eliminate regulations which protected consumers and the environment from their malfeasance.
