There are harmful proposed changes to the bill's nutrition title. I believe that these changes are a disservice to those who are hungry and to the American taxpayer. I also believe that we are doing a disservice to those who serve us.
Proposed changes will impact 23,000 active duty military households across the country enrolled in #SNAP. Our military families already sacrifice so much for our country. We should be reducing barriers to assistance for them, not making it more difficult to put food on the table.
Can't our federal government pay our men and women in uniform more so they wouldn't need #SNAP?

Such BS! Our Military Heros should be paid enough income to allow purchase of GROCERIES without FOOD STAMPS. Seems to me we can NEVER pay them adequately for their PUTTING LIVES IN DANGER! At LEAST make it enough that they don't NEED & QUALIFY for PUBLIC ASSISTANCE!!!
Its a crime that our elected officials do not pay our hard working members of the military. It seems our elected officials take very good care of themselves. We need to take care of American citizens before we spend one cent on illegal aliens. American Families first.
