      The mass shooting that took place in the City of Gilroy, which I represent, occurred on July 28, two days into the August work period. Three people, including two children, were killed. 17 were injured.

      Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell refused to call the Senate back into session to bring #HR8 or #HR1112, commonsense background checks bill, to a vote.
