California has relied on categorical eligibility to eliminate the asset test for #CalFresh. This ensures low-income families with substantial housing and childcare costs are still able to put food on their tables.

What rule is being changed in SNAP/CalFresh? This may be a good thing? When people abuse the system, use the food vouchers for drugs, THAT's a bad thing. Something should change. Allow vouchers for chickens & feed, electric fencing? Eggs + a garden is good for people!

People need food. This affects everyone, seniors and children. How low can you go. But give eixh people a tax break. I dont care if people are rich but do if id people go hungry.

Why do some with a lot of income get hundreds of dollars in food stamps, yet those with little get around $15/month? Why doesn't EVERY house have a garden & 2 chickens for every family member? Apartments are jail cells!

Next time the federal government reworks section 8 housing, they need to build houses with enough yard for a garden & 2 chickens per person minimum! Perhaps a goat & a pig too! Subsidized chicken feed!
