We need mandatory voting with a penalty fine like in Australia,nothing huge, like a parking ticket. States would get massive grief if they failed to maintain accurate voter rolls so it shuts down that dodge. Also,how about including a limit on how long felons are disenfranchised
Today, on the anniversary of the #VotingRightsAct we recommit to protecting this pillar of our democracy. I cosponsored the Voter Empowerment Act to expand access to the ballot box & ensure that every vote is counted. House leadership should bring this bill to a vote immediately
