In the midst of the pandemic, Americans were experiencing or at risk of homelessness. That is why I proudly voted for the American Rescue Plan, which created Project Homekey to help local governments convert hotels, motels, and vacant apartment buildings into permanent housing.

Additionally, I’ve secured $1 million to build affordable tiny homes in Fresno to help homeless residents attain affordable, permanent housing. With these combined efforts, we are tackling the homeless crisis head-on and making critical investments in our communities.
