Imagine living to be 97 only to be murdered at prayer.

The 97 year old likely survived Nazis when she was a young woman. That really hurts.
-
Her name was Rose Mallinger, she WAS a Holocaust survivor. My hands are shaking and I'm crying. That is so horribly heartbreaking I just can't stand it
-
Now I'm seeing people who say they knew her, saying that she wasn't. I'm relieved, if that's true, that she didn't suffer that horror in her life. I'm deeply devasted that she, and all of these other people were killed, no matter what.
-
Honestly, any Jewish person who survived during that era is a holocaust survivor in my eyes.
-
I only pointed it out because he said that the family was trying to get the word out.

Sending my prayers from myself, a Buddhist in Singapore, to you all in the US. I may not be of the same faith, race, religion, or nationality as these people, but we all share one crucial thing in common: we are all human beings, and we should all try and look out for each other.
-
May my fellow US citizens have your kindness. We are in deep trouble in our country and your wisdom is very welcome.
-
I feel you. What happens in America often have far-flung impacts elsewhere as well, and I also have a lot of long-distance online friends in your country too. What happens there can and do have impacts even in my own country, some obvious and others more subtle.
-
Your country urgently needs some common sense and the realisation that we all are fellow human beings, the sense of empathy for each other. I hope this can come about soon peacefully, fingers crossed.
-
Thank you Alex. We need prayers from all over the world right now.

My heart is broken. I knew none of these people but it feels as if they were MY neighbors and friends.
-
I knew 3 of them and it hurts...
-
I am so very sorry for your loss. This heartbreak is something that we all share, seemingly without end. I am so sad and at a real loss when trying to express it. Words no longer convey the depth of emotion.
-
Thank you...

I'm adding the names of the two Black people murdered while buying groceries and posterboard this week. Maurice E. Stallard, 69 (murdered in front of his 12 year old grandson) Vickie Lee Jones, 67
-
Thank you. They have been ignored. Maybe because the number wasn’t large but maybe for other reasons.

I used to memorize all the names of mass shooting victims. I felt that I owed it to them. I haven’t been able to keep up in years.
-
It’s ok.. and wow .. you are an angel for what you did .. no worries on not being able to memorize them all.. there are far too many. You are amazing for what you have done..

Thank you- you are kind and encouraging- but I don’t feel amazing. I feel defeated. I can only imagine how the victims’ families feel. What a horror. What an avoidable tragedy. Yet, those with power throw their hands up for political and economic gains and claim helplessness.
-
I respect that ..
