    Chairman and I are fighting to eliminate the loophole that the Sackler family tried to use to avoid paying any price for their role in the opioid crisis. The people responsible for so many avoidable deaths must be held accountable.

    This ruling is a temporary step in the right direction, but like any other ruling can be overturned on appeal. That is why Congress must step in and pass the Nondebtor Release Prohibition Act, which would stop the wealthy from hiding their abuse.
